The Indonesia-Australia Commercial Cattle Breeding Program (IACCB) commenced in February 2016 as part of the Indonesia-Australia Partnership on Food Security in the Red Meat and Cattle Sector.

These systems and locations have been chosen because they cover the range of business structures with the greatest likelihood of success, offer the greatest opportunities for industry expansion and most closely reflect the challenges and issues likely to be encountered. Silvopasture (grazing of cattle under commercial forest) was also targeted due to the extensive land area in Indonesia under commercial forest leases. However, suitable partners and projects were unable to be identified.
IACCB will progressively generate valuable lessons and technical guidance, which will be made available for all potential investors.
IACCB is managed by Tetra Tech International Development, and is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
